At 4:24am Friday, 51 year old Sherman Hilborn was taken into custody on a charge of domestic battery at his residence on West Main Street.  The arresting officer had responded to an earlier call at 11:58 pm on Thursday, but neither party wished to sign a complaint.  After the second call, Hilborn was arrested and transported to the White County Jail, where he is being held in lieu of a $500 bond.

Saturday afternoon, Sheriff’s deputies took a theft report from Corbett Stover of Norris City about missing auto parts.  Stover stated that he had purchased a 1996 Camaro three weeks ago and had it parked behind an unoccupied house on County Road 1700 N.  Since then someone had stolen the hood, trunk lid, doors, front bumper, and rear wheels and tires. The cost of the missing parts is valued at over $500.
