More sheriff stuff

 

White County Sheriff Doug Maier reported Adam A. Hoover, 32 of rural Carmi was picked up in Oklahoma over the weekend.

Hoover was arrested on a White County warrant in Bixby, Okla., and housed there at the county jail. The warrant was for forgery.
Hoover was transported back to the City County Jail in Carmi. He is currently being held on a $5,000 bond.

Hoover indicated he was aware of the warrant but had left Illinois for Oklahoma to see his sick grandmother.

 

Early Monday morning, the sheriff’s department arrested 29 year old Devin Ray Ward of 509 Fourth Street, Crossville, after he allegedly hit his mother, 56 year old Stacy Ward of 410 Main Street, Crossville.

His grandmother, Jessie Duncan notified authorities just before 7 Monday morning that Devin Ward had struck his mother.

The younger Ward was arrested after Stacy said she would sign a complaint against him.

He was transported to the jail in Carmi, where bond was set at $500.
