2017 Spring Ozark Tours

a t-shirt. Join experienced guides for the 2017 Spring Ozark Tour of wildflowers and waterfalls. Tour participants will visit Bulge Hole (weather dependent), Phantoms Canyon Falls at Camp Ondessonk, and go “through the rabbit hole” to visit Horse Cave in Schwegman Hollow. Illinois Botanizer Chris Benda will be on hand for wildflower identification. Extensive hiking will be required and participants should wear sturdy boots, dress for the weather and bring comfort items, such as water and trail snacks. This afterschool program encourages children to get outdoors and discover the wonders of the world around them. Each Monday, we will journey to uncover the biodiversity in our very own backyards! Pre-registration is required. Sign up for one or for all dates. Geared for grades 1st – 5th.

Kids ages 5 through 15 are invited to a Fishing Derby. Learn to fish and have fun with games and crafts. Children will sign up by age for fishing and casting contests. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in different fishing categories. Some bait will be provided. Must be accompanied by an adult. Lunch will be provided. Registration begins at 8 a.m. * Please bring chairs or blankets to sit on for lunch.
