Downtown Carmi will be the site of two community events this weekend, offering a mix of local shopping and health-focused resources for area residents.
The Carmi Retail Merchants are organizing a Spring Sidewalk Sale on Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3. A variety of downtown businesses will be participating, including 103 Grounded in Grace, Farmhouse Florist, H.D. Bean Jewelers, Second Time Around, and several others. Shoppers can find discounts and deals both on sidewalks and inside stores.
Coinciding with the start of the sidewalk sale, the WRU-WELLness Expo will take place on Friday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is focused on promoting health and wellness services in the region and will feature booths from Wabash General Hospital, Hamilton Memorial Hospital District, Fox Meadows Supportive Living, and additional providers. The expo will be located downtown and is free to attend.
Both events are expected to bring increased foot traffic to the downtown area. Organizers say the events are an opportunity to support local businesses while also connecting with valuable health and wellness resources.
