The Carmi Police Department arrested two men on possession charges early Saturday morning following a traffic stop on Fifth Street.
23 year old Calkin Bingman of Carmi and 28 year old Devindra Daiby of Chicago were taken into custody at 2:14am. Both men were charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Bingman was cited for driving a vehicle with a suspended vehicle registration due to not having insurance.
Bingman and Daiby were transported to the White County Jail, and were both released after each posted a $150 bond.
