Carmi Police arrested 35 year old Emily Whetstone of 105 Olive Street Tuesday around a quarter after 3 following a call from neighbor 53 year old David Straw of 107 Olive. Straw signed a complaint for damage to a yard light. Following an investigation according to the officer, Whetstone was arrested and has been charged with criminal damage to property. She bonded out to $100 plus booking shortly after. Court records have yet to be filed showing her court date. Whetstone has only ever had a speeding ticket in her priors.
