A Carmi woman is behind bars Thursday morning following her arrest Wednesday at the White County probation office in Carmi. Carmi Police say they were called to the office just before 11:30am on a probation violation and arrested 63-year-old Karen Osborne of Sycamore Street. The charge relates to a 2020 case in which Osborne would agree to a plea deal finding her guilty of possession of meth. At the time, she was sentenced to 2 years of probation, fined, assigned 50 hours of community service, and ordered into drug treatment. She was also given a 6 month stayed jail sentence. As of now, Osborne is next due in court on July 30th.
