At 1:13 pm Wednesday, Carmi Police investigated an accident in the Walmart parking lot that sent an Omaha woman to the hospital.
According to the crash report, Margie Mobley was walking in the lot when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Cleon Hudson of Crossville. Hudson told officers he did not see Mobley when he began to back out of his parking space, but felt a bump and stopped.
Mobley complained of pain in her hip and received injuries to her legs and left elbow. She was assisted at the scene by the White County Ambulance Service and was later airlifted to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
No citations were issued in the accident.
