The White County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Norris City Police Department in arresting 21 year old Robert Worley Thursday afternoon after Worley initially eluded authorities. 
Before deputies arrived at 819 Southern Circle, Worley fled on foot and was later seen running through yards on Forrest Street. Worley was eventually captured after being tackled by a sheriff’s deputy and taken into custody at 1:10pm. Worley was transported to the White County Jail by Norris City Police and is being held without bail pending a court hearing.
Worley has been charged with resisting a police officer, theft over $500, criminal trespass to a vehicle, criminal damage to property, obstructing justice, and driving while license suspended.
