The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
02/10/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 25 year old Jaimee L. Dardeen of Princeton after she was observed in the 100 block of Walnut Street. The arresting officer knew Dardeen was wanted on a Wabash County warrant charging her with shoplifting. Dardeen was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of $300.00 cash bond.
02/11/2017-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 24 year old Christopher I. Brown of Connelton, Indiana after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered Brown was driving on a suspended driver’s license. Brown was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for no valid registration, driving while suspended, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 19 year old Thomas J. Post of Mt. Carmel after police were notified of a hit and run in the area of 110 Jacquess Avenue. Police were called to the area after a witness observed a 1993 Pontiac strike a parked vehicle. The driver continued on to a residence in the 1000 block of N. Market Street. Police located Post and he advised he did strike the vehicle and left without notifying the owner. Post was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while suspended and failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 28 year old Thomas E. Fugate of Mt. Carmel after police were called to a domestic in the 400 block of Cedar Street. Police were told that Fugate throw a baby bottle at his victim and then shoved her to the ground. Police were also told that Fugate tried to prevent his victim from calling 911. Fugate was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. Fugate is being held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 27 year old Logan Stoneberger of Mt. Carmel after she was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that she was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Stoneberger was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of bond.
