A Carmi man earned himself a court date after being pulled over and arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license. On Wednesday evening, 61 year old Leslie A McWhirter of 614 Webb Street was stopped on Sixth Street and taken into custody. He was also cited for Operating a Vehicle when Registration is Suspended.
Bond for McWhirter was set at $250. He paid bond and was released. McWhirter I scheduled to be in court on May 31st.

Everyone knows he leaves this little girl alone at 2 & 3 am . The authorities need to do something before something bad happens to this little girl. He got away with robbing us, he got away with positioning me wanting me to perform sexual favors In trade for my stolen items which were reported but when I reported this to the state’s attorney I was told to take him to small claims to get my things back. I’m glad they FINALLY arrested him for driving on suspended however, they need to charge him with child neglect and all the women he’s sexually harassed and forced himself on need to come forward!! This man needs stopped!
