04/05/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 25 year old Dalton S. Allen of Sumner after he was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop the arresting officer noticed an alcoholic beverage smell coming from the person of Allen. Allen was arrested on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Wabash County Jail. Allen was cited for improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and DUI. Allen was held in the Wabash County Jail until posting bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 28 year old David Ryan Harms of Mt. Carmel on 1 count of burglary to a motor vehicle. On April 4th, Mt. Carmel Police were called to the 1000 block of Landes reference a vehicle being broke into. The complainant advised she left her purse in her vehicle and when she went to her car the next morning she noticed someone had entered her vehicle. Mt. Carmel Police investigated the burglary and was able to retrieve the money. On April 5th MCPD Officer’s located Harms and placed him under arrest for burglary. Harms is being held in the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 43 year old Tammy J. Hoehn of Mt. Carmel after she was accused of stealing from her employer. Mt. Carmel Police responded to the Mt. Carmel Conoco at 330 Walnut Street reference a theft. When MCPD Officer’s arrived they were told that Hoehn had been caught giving away drinks, food, cigarettes and food to a patron without making them pay for the items. During the investigation it was discovered that Hoehn was in possession of suspected cannabis, drug paraphernalia, and prescription pills. Hoehn was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with retail theft, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance. Hoehn was held pending the posting of bond.
