The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
07/22/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 53 year old Roger D. Dardeen of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped in the 200 block of W. 6th Street. The arresting officer reported seeing Dardeen operating a 2005 Pontiac and knew that Dardeen was driving on a suspended driver’s license. Dardeen was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Dardeen was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 44 year old Jorge Solis and 25 year old Mario Lopez, both of Mt. Carmel, after police were called to their residence reference a disturbance. During the investigation it was alleged that both subjects threatened to harm the other with a weapon. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where they were charged with aggravated assault. Both subjects are being held pending the posting of bond.
07/21/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested Ramos L. Alfredo, age 49, of Clewiston, Florida after he was stopped in the 200 block of Walnut Street for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Alfredo did not have a valid driver’s license. Alfredo was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.
07/19/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested Mary A. Cessna, age 21, of Mt. Carmel after she was stopped by Mt. Carmel Police. The arresting officer reported seeing Cessna operating a 1994 Cadillac in the area of 5th Street and Vine Street. The arresting officer knew there to be a Wabash County warrant for her arrest. A traffic stop was initiated and Cessna was placed under arrest. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Cessna was in possession of suspected cannabis and prescription pills. Cessna was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was served the violation of probation bond ($10,000 cash bond), possession of cannabis, and possession of a controlled substance.
