The following subjects were arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
11/07/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 42 year old Michele D. Spruell of Mt. Carmelon a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. MCPD Officer’s located Spruell in the 400 block of W. 11th Street. Spruell was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was held pending the posting of bond.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 27 Jessica L. Bilotta of Mt. Carmel after she was observed operating a motor vehicle in the 200 block of South Mulberry Street. The arresting officer knew Bilotta was driving on a revoked driver’s license. Bilotta was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with driving revoked.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 33 year old Derek A. Wilkinson of Mt. Carmel after he was outside of his residence in the 200 block of Market Street. The arresting officer knew Wilkinson was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. Wilkinson was taken into custody and held at the Wabash County Jail pending the posting of $300.00 cash bond.
11/08/2016-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 38 year old Daniel R. Caddell of Mt. Carmel after he was observed in the 100 block of Market Street. The arresting officer knew Caddell was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant. During the arrest of Caddell he was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Caddell was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for the drug paraphernalia and issued the Wabash County warrant.
Late Tuesday night officers were called to the 1200 block of Mulberry Street reference a four wheeler crash. Prior to the arrival of the police, a witness saw the driver run from the accident. During the course of the investigation it was believed that 45 year old Robert L. Barnes of Mt. Carmel was the driver of the four wheeler. Barnes was located and issued a citation for improper operation of an ATV and failure to give information after striking another’s property. A passenger on the ATV was identified as Gavin M. Roberts of Mt. Carmel. Roberts advised he was not injured and refused medical treatment.
11/09/2016- Mt. Carmel Police arrested 27 year old Andrew Ellis of Mt. Carmel after he was observed in the 400 block of McDowell Street in Mt. Carmel. Police knew Ellis was wanted on a Wabash County failure to appear warrant and placed him under arrest. Ellis was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.
