A Carmi man has been charged with home invasion after attempting to break into anther Carmi man’s home. On Friday, November 19th, 22 year old Leif Harper of 120 Woodlawn Street in Carmi was pulled over and arrested by the Illinois State Police at around 11:30 PM, after a complaint was signed against him for Robbery, Aggravated Battery and Criminal Trespass against 19 year old Chase Edmonds at 412 Rice Street in Carmi.
Leif was taken to the White County Jail where those charges were filed against him.
