A reminder that coming up on Friday is the 14 News Sunrise School Spirit pep session at CWCHS. The event will take place from 6 AM – 7 AM in McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. 14 News out of Evansville will be there to broadcast live as the student body will have many events to entertain the community. The pep session also works as a canned food drive. Community members and students have the remainder of the week to bring in canned goods at any CWC unit 5 school.

This Saturday the Carmi-White County Bulldog football team will host the Athens Warriors in the first round of the IHSA 2A Football Playoffs. Kickoff is set for 2 PM, the Taylor Eye Care pre-game show on 97.3 WRUL and on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel will begin at 1:45. We’ll catch up with CWC head coach Kurt Simon later this week to learn more about the Warriors and what the Bulldogs will have to do to get their first playoff win since 2013.
