The Carmi-White County boys basketball team defeated Edwards County last night by a final score of 44-38. 

Junior Mitchel Edwards led the Bulldogs in scoring with a game-high 19 points.
With a 3-point shot in the 2nd quarter, Edwards surpassed the 1,000 career point mark.

Gavin Holloman and Landon Driscoll both scored 11 points for the Bulldogs.
Kade Stockton scored 2 and Trey Dixon scored 1. 

The Bulldogs improve to 18-5 on the year and 5-1 in the Black Diamond Conference. They will host Flora on Friday Night before they travel to Mt. Carmel on Saturday. 

The Carmi-White County Wrestling team split a pair of matches in West Frankfort last night, defeating Trico 64-17 and falling to West Frankfort 51-30.

In the win over Trico,
Konner Buchanan, Gage Anderson, Connor Benham, Madden Anderson, Kale Wiggins, Davyn Anderson, and Nelson Rider all received forfeits.
Laeden Vargas, Joey Shaffer and Caleb Seibers won via pin while Luker Bolerjack won his match 11-2. 

In the loss vs West Frankfort,
Travor Mason, Kale Wiggins and Caleb Seibers received forfeits.
Laeden Vargas and Jazz Duckworth won their matches via pin. 

The Bulldog Wrestlers finish the regular season with a 20-7 record, one of their best seasons in recent memory. Carmi will begin regionals on Saturday in Herrin.
