The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball defeated Mt. Vernon, Indiana last night by a final score of 47-28.
Caroline Simmons led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 16 points.
Addi Elliott and Torrie Rider both scored 7 points.
Ashlyn Rager scored 6 points.
Jaya Smith scored 5 points.
Eva Attebury scored 4 points.
Ella Newell scored 2 points.
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 14-7 on the year. They will travel to Edwards County tonight for a big Black Diamond Conference battle. Carmi is 6-1 in BDC play, meanwhile Edwards County comes into tonight’s game with a 13-4 overall record and a 5-2 record in conference play. The winner of tonight’s game will be in first place in the Black Diamond Conference East with just two more conference games to go.

The Carmi-White County Wrestling Team traveled to Fairfield last night for the Black Diamond Conference meet. The Bulldogs finished in 3rd Place, and Travor Mason won the BDC Championship at the 120 weight class.

The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team will return to action tomorrow night as they travel to Grayville to face the Bison. The Bulldogs come into tomorrow’s game with a 7-12 record as they look to snap a 5-game losing streak. Carmi will then host Eldorado on Saturday afternoon in a rescheduled game from earlier this month.
