The Carmi-White County Wrestling team traveled to Fairfield on Wednesday night for the 2025 Black Diamond Conference meet.
Carmi, Fairfield, Johnston City, Trico, and Goreville all battled each other for the BDC Crown.
The Bulldogs began the night defeating Goreville, 59-18.
Carmi received 5 forfeits in the win. Kale Wiggins, Cole Evans, Branson Burnett, and Laeden Vargas all won their matches.
The Bulldogs then fell to the host Mules, 59-24.
Nolan Garner, Jazz Duckworth, and Wiggins all pinned their opponents, but that was all the scoring Carmi could do.
CWC then fell to the eventual conference champs, Johnston City by a final score of 60-18.
Burnett, Travor Mason, and Connor Benham all pinned their JC opponents in the loss.
Carmi capped off the night defeating Trico, 66-12.
Wiggins, Burnett, Vargas, and Trenton Chambers all won their matches before the Dogs received 7 forfeits.
Johnston City won the BDC Title, going 4-0 on the night.
Fairfield finished in 2nd Place at 3-1.
CWC placed 3rd after going 2-2.
Trico finished 4th at 1-3.
Goreville finished 5th going winless on the night.
CWC senior Travor Mason was crowned BDC Champion at the 120 weight class after going 4-0 on the evening.
The Bulldogs Wrestlers will have one more home match before postseason play, they will host West Frankfort at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium next Tuesday.
