The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball fell to Evansville Day School last night in the opening night of the 45th Annual CWCIT by a final score of 59-55.
The Bulldogs trailed by as many as 11 in the first half, and they were able to come back and tie it in the 4th quarter, but Carmi was never able to take the lead as Day School hit their free throws in the final seconds to hang on for the win.
The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Mitchel Edwards who scored 28 points.
Hayden Sauls scored 12 points.
Kade Stockton scored 6 points.
Cade Allen scored 4 points.
Beck Huff scored 3 points.
Merick Millhorn scored 2 points.
The Bulldogs fall to 7-9 on the year and 0-1 in the CWCIT. They will be back in action tonight to battle Harrisburg at 7 PM.
The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team fell to Harrisburg yesterday in the Eldorado Mid-Winter Classic semifinals by a final score of 50-43.
The Lady Bulldogs fall to 11-6 on the year, they will play Hamilton County for 3rd Place on Thursday Night at 6 PM.
The Lady Bulldogs will play tomorrow night also, they will host Edwards County at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium in a rescheduled game that was postponed due to snow earlier this month.
