The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team defeated Eldorado last night on the road by a final score of 60-18.
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 10-5 on the year and 5-0 in the Black Diamond Conference. They will travel back to Eldorado tomorrow to face Gallatin County in the opening round of the Lady Eagle Mid-Winter Classic. If Carmi wins tomorrow, they will face either Eldorado or Harrisburg on Monday at 1 PM.
The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team will travel to Fairfield tonight for a conference battle with the Mules. The Bulldogs come into tonight’s game with a 7-7 record and 1-2 in the Black Diamond. Fairfield is also 7-7, they are 2-1 in conference play.
Fans can watch and listen to tonight’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. Varsity will tip-off at around 7:20 PM.
The Carmi-White County Wrestling team will host two tournaments this weekend at Washington School. Tomorrow they will welcome 22 teams for a junior varsity tournament, then on Monday a 21-team varsity tournament will take place. Wrestling begins at 9 AM tomorrow and on Monday.
Tomorrow is the annual White County Cheer for a Cure competition at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. Many cheer and dance teams from around the area will compete and raise money for local families battling cancer. Competition begins tomorrow at 9 AM.
