44 year old Adam Krug is behind bars in Carmi without bail following his arrest Friday night by Carmi Police. Officers were called to his Elm Street home just after 10pm where Krug was taken into custody on a Class 2 felony charge of Aggravated Domestic Battery. In September of 2020, Krug was arrested on the same charge. It was dismissed as per a plea deal and Krug was convicted of a Class 4 felony of Domestic Battery with a prior. At the time, he was given a stayed 6 month jail term, 2 ½ years of probation, alcohol treatment and anger management.
