It’s a White County Christmas kicks off on Saturday, November 12 with the Reindeer Run for Jefferson School starting at First Bank at 9 am. The Baby Miss Merry Christmas and Tiny Miss Merry Christmas contestants taking the stage at 1:00 p.m., with a performance by the Southern Illinois Showstoppers during tabulation, at the Carmi High School Auditorium. At 6:30 p.m. the Little Miss Merry Christmas, Junior Miss Merry Christmas and Miss Merry Christmas contests will compete with a performance by the All Star Twirlers during tabulation.
On Sunday, November 13, a Gospel Sing will be held at 3:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Carmi for the Southeastern Illinois Center for Pastoral Counseling. A free will offering will be received.
As we look ahead, entries are still needed for the Lighted Christmas Parade on November 26 at 6 p.m. Entry forms are available by visiting whitecountychristmas.com or calling the Chamber office at 618-382-7606.
