Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that sent a teenager to the hospital.
Kayla Wheat of Otwell was riding an ATV operated by Jade Bartley of Otwell, when the ATV rolled and landed on her.
The ATV was able to be pushed off of Wheat who complained of leg pain.
Witnesses advised while going down a hill a tire on the ATV got caught on a tree root causing the ATV to overturn.
Responding agencies included the Ireland Fire Department, Memorial Ambulance Service, first responders and Indiana Conservation Officers.
Injuries were not life threatening and both subjects were wearing helmets.
The accident occurred around 3:30 pm on March 23rd 2016 on private property along West Portersville Road.
