Illinois Patriots Organization Gearing up for Town Hall May 6th in Carmi

The Illinois Patriots Organization, an apparently fairly new local group is hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Monday, May 6th.  The get together is planned for 6pm at 304 East Robinson in Carmi, the Farm Bureau Building, according to a release from member Kelli Chapman.  Among the featured speakers will be Illinois State Representative Darren Bailey, who is co-sponsoring the event.  He is slated to talk about hot button legislation in Springfield.  State Senator Dale Righter is also expected and will inform attendees on current proposed legislation in Illinois.  Andrew Nelms, the Illinois State Director of Americans for Prosperity is slated to give his slant on Governor J.B. Pritzker’s Progressive Tax and can be expected to rail against it.  The flyer also indicates representatives from Illinois Carry will be in attendance offering an update on what they’ve labeled as the Iron Dome Counties.

Illinois Patriots call themselves “a group of concerned citizens dedicated to raising awareness of current issues that effect [sic] all people of Illinois. Our vision for Illinois is to educate our children on what a great nation they live in and their role in its future, to protect our constitutional rights to life, religion, and to bear arms, to inform and stand for REAL change. We seek to be an organization of deeds… not words.”

The organization has a website, www.illinoispatriots.org .  Anyone wanting more information is welcome to call (618) 380 – 1636.  You can also email them via [email protected].
