A Hamilton County High School student died Friday afternoon following a traffic crash involving a pickup and a tractor.
Illinois State Police say that 17 year old Dawson Parmley was killed after attempting to pass another vehicle on Dahlgren Road at 1:40pm. The Hamilton County Coroner pronounced him deceased at the scene. The driver of the tractor was unhurt in the accident.
State troopers were assisted at the scene by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department, Hamilton County EMA, McLeansboro Police, the Dahlgren Fire Department, Harre’s Ambulance Service, and Rick’s Towing.
