Hamilton County Police Make 3 Arrests; 2 from Way Out of the Area

Information from a Hamilton County accident that occurred a week ago has been released.  McLeansboro Police Chief says he was dispatched to the scene near the city limits.  Due to the location, Sheriff Lakin was notified and responded to the crash site as well.  Investigative cooperation from both agencies as well as the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services revealed the truck was stolen from Washington County.  63 year old Carl G. Peterson, who reportedly hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was arrested by Sheriff Lakin for possession of a stolen vehicle along with several other traffic related charges.

 

On Monday of this week, McLeansboro Police say they received a report of a reckless driver on Route 142.  Sergeant Stephen Miller was able to locate the vehicle and pulled the driver over.  51 year old Debora M. Cullers, of Bloomington, Illinois was taken into custody and has been charged with DUI accompanied by other related minor traffic offenses.

 

Tuesday evening, nearing the 9pm hour, 35 year old Brian L. Dennis of McLeansboro was cuffed by Officers Justin Webb and Bryant Weaver.  Dennis was identified for outstanding warrants stemming from Hamilton, Saline and White County.  Dennis remains behind bars, unable to post bond, as of Thursday morning.
