37 year old Eric L Hall of Carmi was formally charged in Hamilton County Court yesterday following his arrest by Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department deputies Thursday night. States Attorney Justin Hood said that Hall has been charged with eight separate counts in the string of crimes Hall is accused of committing during an investigation that also included the McLeansboro Police Department and the Illinois State Police.
At Tuesday’s hearing, Hall was formally charged with one count of residential burglary, two separate counts of criminal damage to property, theft of a vehicle, two counts of possession of a stolen vehicle, criminal damage over $10,000 but less than $100,000, and one count of theft.
Hall is currently being housed at the White County Jail, where he has remained since being taken into custody. His bond has been set at $150,000 and Hall will make his first appearance in court on Thursday.
