Grayville City Council meets Monday night

The Grayville City Council met Monday night for the first time in 2018.  Following a short executive session, City Treasurer Sharon Walden was unanimously approved as the City purchasing officer.

There were no updates on the Rain for Rent lease or park project pay estimates.  The Council approved an amendment to the liquor code setting Sunday sales to begin at noon.  Two new liquor licenses were created for the Rest Up Campground.

A service agreement with Straffer Pumps of Chandler, Indiana to inspect lift stations at a cost of $2985 was approved, and the Council will hold a special meeting at 9 am Friday to go over water system telemetry bids.

In the City Police report for December, the Department answered 220 calls for service and opened 24 new case files.  Officers made 12 arrests, issued 51 citations and 66 warnings, and filed four crash reports.

The meeting adjourned at 7:25 pm, and the Council will meet for their next regular meeting on Monday, January 22nd at 7:00 pm.
