Each month, Fairfield Memorial Hospital honors an employee who has exemplified outstanding patient care and customer service internally and externally.
In June, Barbara Rumbold, who has been with Fairfield Memorial Hospital for 2 years, was named Employee of the Month. As a valuable asset to FMH, Barbara carries out the Hospital mission daily and has a natural ability to identify the needs of both internal and external customers. She never loses sight of why we are here and what our jobs truly are. Barbara has stepped up various times and has worked beyond her regular hours and even beyond that. Her flexibility and desire to offer a hand to anyone and everyone creates a positive work environment. Her coworkers feel she has a special ability to recognize when there is a need and will jump in and help, often without being asked. Barbara is extremely knowledgeable about every position in the office and deserves recognition for teaching and training new employees and does so with great patience and understanding. She is always striving to find ways to improve processes and shares her innovative ideas with others to try to make everyone’s job easier.
“Barbara has been an inspiration to me, as well as others, and has encouraged everyone in our department to always remember that we are here for our customers, both internal and external. Her positive personality is contagious and certainly makes our office a great place to work. I feel very blessed to work alongside such a great employee who remains steadfast and true to our mission here at Fairfield Memorial Hospital,” stated Glenda Stottlemyre, RHIT, Director of Health Information.
