Little Wabash Fire Protection firefighters were called to the scene of a structure fire just before 2am Tuesday morning. Fire chief Travis Thompson says it appears the flames started in the kitchen area of La Fiesta Mexican Grill rendering it destroyed. The seating area also saw heavy smoke damage. Firefighters were assisted by Albion and Crossville departments and also had support from White County Ambulance, Grayville PD, and the Grayville Utility Department. Investigation into the specific cause of the fire has been turned over to Illinois State Fire Marshal authorities. La Fiesta is located next to the Super 8 and has been open since the spring of 2024. Prior to that, it was Seasons Grill which opened in 2011.
