Mt. Carmel Fire Dept. was called out shortly after midnight Sunday morning for a car fire at the Country Mark gas station on N. Walnut St. in Mt. Carmel, IL. Upon arrival crew found a vehicle fully engulfed resting just feet from fuel pumps. It is unclear what caused the fire at this time, and what make and model of vehicle was involved. Jeremy Smith of T.O.C. News reached out to MCPD, but few details were immediately available. There were no reports of injuries at the time of this report, and no damage reported to Country Mark property.
