In White County Circuit Court Tuesday, 31 year old Roxann Roberts of Carmi was sentenced to five years in prison according to States Attorney Denton Aud.
Roberts was additionally ordered to pay court costs and make $7,500 in restitution to her victim by Judge T Scott Webb. Roberts will be under mandatory supervised release for one year following incarceration.
The Carmi Police Department investigated the case, and Roberts was represented by Public Defender Rhonda Blades. The sentence will run concurrent with a sentence from Gallatin County.
