Carmi Woman Facing Multiple Charges
A Carmi woman, 30 year old Ashleigh N. Webb, 407 Second Street, is facing multiple charges after she was stopped by Carmi Police.
Local police stopped Webb following reports of an erratic driver. Carmi police observed Webb cross the centerline into the officer’s lane of traffic at which time she was pulled over.
The traffic stop resulted in a field sobriety test as the suspect was impaired. It was also determined her driver’s license was suspended. She was arrested and a search of her vehicle revealed less than ten grams of cannabis.
Webb was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, driving while license suspended, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured vehicle and possession of less than ten grams of cannabis. She was also issued a verbal warning for expired registration.
Webb posted bond following the Tuesday afternoon stop of $300 and a $20 booking fee prior to her release from custody.
