Carmi Woman Arrested For Obstruction After Drunken Altercation Saturday

A 21 year old Carmi woman was in behind bars in the White County Jail following an altercation early Saturday morning. White County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call at a residence in Enfield, where Perfecto Hernendez told officers he and his husband Don Long were drinking the night before along with Long’s niece Neola Wilson, when Neola became angry and pushed him. No one wished to sign a complaint, but they just wanted Neola to stay out of the residence, as she kept trying to go in and fight Perfecto. Deputies advised her multiple times that she could not go inside, to which she responded she didn’t care what they had to say she was going in the house. Neola proceeded to tell Deputies they would have to take her to jail because she was going in anyway. Neola tried to kick the door down at which point she was arrested and taken to jail for Obstructing a Peace Officer for her refusal to comply with commands. She is being held on $100 bond.
