At Thursday’s Rotary meeting, Pastor Randy Douglass showed Rotarians a computer app called Right Now Media. Randy told the club that it was similar to Net Flix only you could get all kinds of religious materials. It was noted that you could get sermons, bible studies, and various current topics from literally hundreds of well-known authors. In fact, Pastor Randy uses several in his bible studies and as a supplement to his sermons. He showed the Rotarians how they could log in and be able to study various topics.
In club business, Rotarians discussed the fact that the Trivia contest is only 3 weeks off. It is scheduled for March 11 at the American Legion. It will begin at 6PM. The cost for a 4 person team is $40. Rotarians will provide the snacks. Sherri Logan named Cindy Conley the phantom. Morris McCall won the honor of selecting the pink ball in the 50/50 drawing and did win the large pot. Andy Williams and Little Giant prepared a delicious meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans for the club. The club meets at noon on Thursday at the First United Methodist Church.
