Carmi Rotary Club Plans Take Out Chili Night

At Thursday’s meeting of the Carmi Rotary club the Rotarians focused on the upcoming Take Out Chili night. Set your calendars for Friday, November 11th and plan on picking up dinner for the whole family.

The Rotarians will be serving up piping hot, fresh chili that night out of the Lion’s Den in downtown Carmi. Beginning at 4:00pm, and serving until 6:00pm, you can drop by, pick up a quart or two, and not even have to leave your car. A quart of this delicious chili is only $10.

Please be advised, that the Rotarians are only making 50 quarts, and they will be sold on a first come, first-serve basis. So don’t wait too long or you might miss out on the great chili at a great price.

In club business, Dale Peters won the 50/50 drawing but did not capture the day’s cash prize. Tom Logan was named as the day’s phantom.

The Carmi Rotary club meets every Thursday at noon at the First United Methodist Church on Main Street in Carmi. Anyone wishing to learn more about this civic organization is welcome to attend a meeting or speak with any Carmi Rotarian.
