Carmi Police Weekend Recap

A 17 year old is potentially facing charges after his arrest late Saturday night.  Carmi Police took the signed complaint for Criminal Damage to Property after learning of the subject driving a blue jeep and cutting donuts at Eckerle Park.  The juvenile behavior led to rocks being thrown onto another vehicle causing paint chips according to the report.  When officers found the suspect, he refused to cooperate and fought with officers leading to his formal arrest.  His preliminary charges include Driving with No Valid License, Obstructing Police and Resisting a Peace Officer.

A 13 year old white male was picked up at Pundrakes by Carmi Police in the wee hours of Saturday for curfew violation.  The police report indicates the juvenile was picked up at 12:04, just barely into Saturday.  He was later released into the custody of a parent.

A felony warrant out of Wabash County ended up being the first of many charges 23 year old Anthony W.E. Parrish of Fackney Street in Carmi will face after his arrest Saturday morning.  Carmi Police caught Parrish in the 500 block of Elm Street.  No narrative was provided with the report, but it’s safe to say there’s a story there as Parrish has been charged with a felony count of possession of meth, 3 misdemeanors including a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, resisting and/or obstructing a peace officer, and obstructing identification.  Parrish is also facing two civil citations, one for possession of cannabis, less than 10 grams and an additional possession of drug paraphernalia, this one a civil citation.  Parrish remains jailed in a White County cell.

Friday afternoon just after 3pm, Enfield resident Sarah Odom turned her self in to Carmi authorities.  The 25 year old was wanted on a failure to appear Domestic Battery/Provocation warrant.  She’s free this morning after bonding out to $500 cash, plus booking and failure to appear fees.  Her charge dates back to an August 2014 incident.
