Carmi Police took a property damage report on Thursday night. Jodon Newman reported that a window at his residence on 4th Street had been damaged. Newman said that the damage occurred between 6:30 am and 4:30 pm Thursday.
Early Friday morning, Carmi officers found two men sleeping in a car in the Elastec parking lot. Officers detected a strong odor of marijuana, and cited 24 year old Derek O’Guinn of Equality and 23 year old Justin Raney of Norris City for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after a search of the vehicle turned up less than 10 grams of cannabis and a smoking pipe.
