A McLeansboro man was arrested by Carmi Police Monday afternoon following a traffic stop at Rice and Webb Streets. 31 year old Charles Sage was taken into custody at 5:13 pm for driving on a suspended license. Sage was also cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sage was released from the White County Jail after posting a $150 bond.
At 8pm Monday, Carmi Police arrested 36 year old Brenda Fond at her residence on 9th Street on a White County warrant for theft over $500, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and aggravated battery. Fond was also wanted on a Wayne County warrant for failure to appear on a DUI charge. Fond was transferred to the White County Jail, and is being held on a combined bond amount of $1,150.
