Following a traffic stop on Wednesday night, the Carmi Police Department arrested 35 year old Russell Wardrip of Carmi for improper use of registration. Wardrip was stopped on Robinson Street at 10:24pm. He is being held at the White County Jail on a $150 bond.
21 year old Jason Sigmund of Carmi turned himself in to Carmi Police on a White County warrant for battery. Sigmund was taken into custody in the lobby of the Police Department just before 12:30am and was transferred to the White County Jail, where he remains in custody pending the post of a $500 bond.
