Carmi Police arrested 35 year old Mary Bennington-Wease of Carmi after an officer observed her squeal her tires and turn sideways in her lane of traffic Thursday afternoon.  Bennington-Wease was taken into custody at Huck’s at 1:26 pm after it was found she was in possession of a suspended Indiana driver’s license.  She was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and transported to the White County Jail.  She was later released after posting a $150 bond.

38 year old Jason Digby of Carmi was arrested by Carmi Police Thursday at 4:22 pm in Bradshaw Park.  Digby was wanted on two White County warrants, and when confronted by police, resisted arrest, resulting in additional charges of aggravated assault and resisting a police office.  Digby was transported to the White County Jail, and is being held on a combined bond amount of $2300.

Just before 11 pm Thursday, Carmi Police arrested 21 year old Joshua Farris of Carmi following a 911 call about a domestic dispute.  Farris was charged with criminal damage to government supported property, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct after officers arrived at the Carmi Village Apartments on N Main Cross Street.  Farris was taken to the White County Jail, and is being held without bond pending a court hearing.
