Early Saturday morning, Carmi Police conducted a traffic stop which resulted in the arrest of a Carmi woman on multiple charges.
At 12:55 am, an officer noticed 36 year old Stephanie Fulkerson driving on North Walnut Street, and knowing that her license was suspended, initiated the stop. During a search of Fulkerson’s vehicle, a syringe that tested positive for methamphetamine was discovered along with a one hitter pipe and a small amount of cannabis.
Fulkerson was transported to the White County Jail and is being held without bail pending a court hearing. She has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hypodermic syringe, driving on a suspended license, and was cited for cannabis possession and several traffic offenses.
Monday morning, Patricia Earl reported to Carmi Police that sometime overnight on Sunday, someone damaged the door frame of her garage on Fifth Street.
