The Carmi Police Department made several arrests over the holiday weekend.
31 year old Lindsay West of Carmi was taken into custody on Friday at 1:25 pm on a White County warrant for retail theft. West was transported to the White County Jail and was later released on a $150 bond.
28 year old Kyle Stephens of Carmi was arrested by Carmi officers on Sunday on a White County warrant for burglary. Stephens was stopped on a bicycle in the First Baptist Church parking lot at 12:31pm and was transported to the White County Jail, where he remains in lieu of a $3500 bond.
34 year old Corey Smith of Carmi was arrested on a White County warrant for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia by Carmi Police at 4:26 pm on Sunday. Smith was taken into custody while walking on Elm Street, and is being held at the White County Jail pending a court hearing.
Carmi officers stopped 48 year old Sam Garman of Grayville on Monday night in the Pundrakes parking lot and arrested him for driving without a valid license. Garman was also cited for only having one headlight, no valid registration, and not having proof of insurance. Garman was later released from the White County Jail after posting bond.
