The Carmi Police Department made four arrests following a traffic stop early Wednesday morning at the intersection of Main and Church Streets. An officer pulled over a vehicle driven by 22 year old Beau Price of Mt. Carmel at 12:46am. Price was taken into custody for possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. In addition, three passengers were also taken into custody.
20 year old Miranda Fritchley of West Salem and 18 year old Shelby Headrick of Creal Springs were both arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
23 year old Billy Dill of Mt. Carmel was taken into custody for possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All four were transported to the White County Jail. Price and Dill were later released after posting $150 bonds each, while Fritchley and Headrick are being held without bond pending court hearings.
