A Carmi man is behind bars after police found him late Saturday on William Drive. 45-year-old Adam Krug of Elm was picked up on a White County Failure to Appear warrant related to a Domestic Battery conviction back in 2023. In September of that year, Krug took a plea deal in which was found guilty of Domestic Battery with Strangulation, fined, given two and a half years probation, ordered to perform community service, and he also spent 2 months behind bars and was subsequently ordered into drug treatment and anger management. During the arrest, Carmi Police say they also found him in possession of meth leading to new charges. He remains behind bars. Court records indicate on February 10th, Krug was sentenced to 6 months in jail.
Monday evening at about 5:20pm, Carmi Police arrested 40-year-old Alicia Pearce of Enfield. A traffic stop revealed Pearce was allegedly driving on a suspended license. She was placed in custody, booked, and later released with a notice to appear. Pearce is due in court on March 25th at 9am.
