Carmi Police investigate theft at Rice Motor Company

The Carmi Police Department received a theft report Saturday morning from Rice Motor Company.  Sometime between 6pm on Friday and 7:45am Saturday, someone removed eight tires and wheels from two vehicles from the lot.  The estimated value of the stolen items was $8000.

 

Just after 10pm Saturday night, Carmi officers arrested 21 year old Jacob O’Dell of Junction for DUI after a traffic stop on Main Cross Street.  O’Dell failed to use his turn signal, which led to the stop.  As the officer approached O’Dell, he noticed an open beer bottle and made the arrest after O’Dell failed field sobriety tests.  O’Dell was transported to the White County Jail and later released after posting a $150 bond.

 

Also on Saturday night, 20 year old Robert Worley of Norris City was arrested at a Fackney Street residence by Carmi Police for illegal consumption of alcohol.  Worley was taken into custody just at 10:20pm and was released from the White County Jail after a $150 bond post.

 

Carmi Police took an Evansville man into custody on Sunday on a charge of harassment by telephone.  18 year old Brandon Moore was arrested at 12:37pm and was processed and released from the County Jail after posting a $150 bond.
