The Carmi Police Department arrested 45 year old Donnie Newman of Carmi on Friday at his residence on a White County warrant issued for strong arm battery. Newman was taken into custody at 5:38pm and was transported to the White County Jail. He was released after posting a $500 bond.
21 year old Sherida Darling of Carmi was arrested on a charge of battery Friday at Pundrakes. Darling was taken into custody at 6:03pm and was released from the White County Jail after posting a $150 bond.
Two Saline County residents were jailed following a complaint made to Carmi Police about their behavior at Burrell’s Woods on Saturday. 54 year old Barry Clevenger of Eldorado and 54 year old Marcella Poirot of Harrisburg were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct at 4:22pm. Both were released after posting $150 bonds.
An altercation Saturday night led to the arrest of two Carmi residents by Carmi Police. 27 year old Amy Flowers and 29 year old Daniel Newman were taken into custody just before 11:30pm and were both charged with domestic battery. In addition, Newman was charged with DUI of alcohol and Flowers was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both Newman and Flowers are being held at the White County Jail pending court hearings.
