Carmi Police Arrest Two Sunday

Carmi Police arrested two individuals Sunday in separate incidents according to Carmi Police Chief Jason Carter.

Early Sunday morning, just before 2, local police stopped Miranda K. Kuykendall, 36, of Crossville. She was stopped after authorities noticed her driving on the wrong side of Fifth Street, here in Carmi.

She was arrested on a driving while under the influence of alcohol after she allegedly blew a .224, on a state certified alcohol breath test.

Kuykendall posted bond and a $20 booking fee prior to be released from custody.

Sunday afternoon, local police arrested Danny L. Stephens, 39 of McLeansboro after he was involved in a domestic dispute at 417 Seventh Street, here in Carmi.

Stephens was charged with domestic battery, aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and a felony warrant.

Stephens remained in custody Wednesday morning according to the incident report.

He was arrested shortly before 2 Sunday afternoon.
