Saturday night, Carmi Police arrested 25 year old Nathan Johnson of Carmi on two White County warrants after officers spotted him walking on Sycamore Street. Johnson was taken into custody at 11:44 pm and was found to be in possession of a pipe which tested positive for cannabis. Johnson is being held at the White County Jail without bond pending a court hearing and received a citation for the pipe.
Monday afternoon, Carmi officers arrested 31 year old Jerrod Reid of Carmi at his Oak Street residence on a charge domestic battery at 3 pm. After a records check, it was discovered that Reid was wanted on a warrant out of Moultrie County. Reid is being held at the White County Jail without bond pending a court hearing.
